An episode of

Surfing With Ghostface

Written by Matthew Zeitoun

The sound of waves breaking is heard as we appear onto a black screen.

Ghostface ashes the J that was seen in the intro into the sand. He stares briefly onto the oceanscape and takes a deep breathe.

[A shot of the board floating on the water.]

Ghost begins to paddle out an overhead tracks him as he paddles out from the clear blue shoreline onto the darker blue deepwater.

Ghost sits cowboy stance on his board waiting for a big wave. Clearly a novice to the game. One, two, three, he passes on mild breaks.

The wave he’s been waiting for begins to form. It’s a biggum. GHOST frantically begins to paddle, he struggles to maintain balance as he pushes up and slips.

An underwater shot of him spinning under the water, ball and chain is his surfboard.

He tumbles to the shore.

GHOST drags his board through the sand defeated. He galnces down at the board.

TILT UP to three orange clad monks strolling diagonally overhead, GHOST glances bewilderingly and rubs the sand out of his eyes. He reopens his eyes to a manzanita bush and the monks gone. GHOST moves the bush to reveal a dirt trail through a thick wood. He follows in pursuit of the monks, taking time to admire the various wildlife and lucious pacific landscape. The trail begins to elevate and the dirt becomes more rocky, a mountain lays in front of him. GHOST pauses for a moment takes a sigh and begins to trek the obstacle.

He walks the trail for a rough half hour until he reaches an end. A waterfall with a pool something out of ninja scroll.

He pants, the years of smoking weed and bad food have caught up to him. He removes his skull cap in the beating sun, and moseys to an adjacent waterfall. GHOST ironically begins to roll another blunt. He sparks it, about midway through the blunt he notices the monks observing him from the waterfalls peak.

“What.. the, Ayo, AYO!”

GHOST scurries to scale the waterfalls rocky wall, he finds it difficult but succeeds. The monks have vanished by the time he reaches the peak. An orange sash makes its way through the stream. The camera tracks GHOSTs POV as it makes its way down through the brook over the cliff and dissappears in the current. Ghost begins to follow the river against its flow. The air is humid, GHOSTS breathing is erratic.

“Mothafuckas.”

Music fade in “Dear Moleskine” as Ghost makes his journey up river, homage to apocolypse now shots.

The struggle of making to the destination is shown in detail.

He arrives, a temple perched upon a mountain side, descript is the blind monk castle from oblivion.

A sanctuary in the mountains.
